Winter skin care regimen

I don't know about you, but I have naturally dry skin.

In the Winter, I feel like I just can't get enough moisture. I seem to have a hand cream in every room and I definitely step up my skin care regimen, especially at night. I know that this may be hard for some of you. We are all busy and time is precious. But, if you get in the habit of spending a few more minutes (pampering yourself a little) your skin will thank you!

I feel like the 3 most important steps in a skin care regimen (after you've cleansed and toned) are a facial serum or oil, an eye treatment and a good moisturizer.

A few products my skin's been loving lately are:

Salt by Hendrix's Mermaid Oil

This facial oil is packed with Vitamins and Omegas.

Jojoba, Argan, Rosehip and Seabuckthorn Seed Oils work to nourish, protect and replenish skin, helping to restore moisture and rejuvenate the complexion. You can wear it alone, or apply it over your moisturizer/serums to lock in all that goodness and act as a barrier to any environmental damage your skin may be exposed to.

Another product from Salt by Hendrix that is great, is their eye treatment.

Eye Babe.

This is an eye treatment oil, that helps prevents premature ageing. It's a gentle, fast-absorbing formula that promotes cell rejuvenation. It provides your under eye area with a concentrated moister hit.

This hydrating formula is packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Vitamin C works by boosting your skin’s collagen production, whilst Vitamin A encourages healthy skin cell rejuvenation.

This eye treatment oil can be enjoyed by all skin types. Add one drop of EYE BABE to your ring finger, and then lightly pat into your orbital bone.

Province Apothecary Rejuvenating and Hydrating Facial Serum.

I simply adore the Province Apothecary Rejuvenating and Hydrating facial serum, with Neroli and Frankincense. It's one of the newer products, to the Broadview Beauty family and I've been a big fan since day 1.

Skin appears instantly radiant and is well protected from drying elements and long-term damage. This serum aids in softening fine lines and age spots.

Apply the serum (around 6 drops), to the palm of your hand.

I find it best to apply it to face and neck with upward, circular motions. It's best to wait a few minutes before applying your favourite moisturizer.

Speaking of my favourite moisturizer, my skin's been loving the one from  Province Apothecary.

Province Apothecary Nourishing + Revitalizing moisturizer.

This moisturizer is filled with a blend of organic oils of Rosehip, Apricot, and Evening Primrose. This is rich in Vitamins A + C, which work to improve tone, texture and elasticity while reducing the appearance of age spots and fine lines.  This moisturizer is great for daily wear, both AM and PM.

Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to face and neck in upward, circular motions. For extra hydration, apply after your favourite serum.

I hope that some of these skincare tips and product recommendations have been helpful. Nobody wants itchy, dry skin!

Upping your night time skin care regimen can really make the difference between tired, dull looking skin and hydrated, youthful looking skin.
